If you are unhappy with previous PMU that you had done it is not hopeless. Our pigment removal is effective and safe using only saline and the body’s natural immune response- no lasers. This can be helpful for those who have very old permanent makeup done using outdated techniques, or for those who have botched work they would like to correct. Using anesthetics to keep pain and discomfort to a minimum, we brush the skin with our needles to open the skin and penetrate its layers. We then apply the saline solution which helps to create scabs. These scabs are the natural immune response of the body when skin is exposed to trauma. As the scabs form and rise to the surface of the skin to peel off, the scabs pull the pigment up and out as well. The procedure requires approximately 1-1.5 hours and there is no “down time”. There is no predetermined number of treatments. It is on an individual case by case basis. There must be a 3 month waiting period between each removal treatment if it is determined that multiple treatments are needed.

Please Note: The treated area will be tender to the touch, and may be swollen. Once the healing process has begun the area will be covered in thick scabs.

Your post procedure removal care consists of cleaning the treated area every hour for the four hours after your procedure. After these four hours the treated area should be left alone and completely dry for 10 days. We will provide you with protective visors to help keep the area dry during showering. The removal process relies heavily on your skin forming think scabs post procedure, the thicker the scabs the better chance of pigment removal. You must let the scabbing process happen naturally. This is very important for your removal and skin healing. Do NOT pick at the scabs, scratch the treated area, peel your scabs off, or scrub the treated area.
